I guide the tuneful journey as we listen to recordings performed by original artists and new artists who continue to honor the legacy.

The Evolution of Popular Music from the 50's to the 80's

Takes participants on a journey through the decades from Post World War Two to Elvis, the British Invasions and more! News stories from these decades pepper the musical selections igniting memories among the audience.

Oscar Winning and Losing Songs

This program is fun and eye opening as it includes some great songs from cinema. Some of the “losers” are astounding.

The History of the Broadway Musical from the 30's to the 90's

This can be divided into two four week sessions. This program is based on the longest running musicals of each decade, their histories, the stars and the way musicals evolved from revues to book musicals, to Disney tourist-centric attractions

The History of Folk Music of the Twentieth Century from Woody Guthrie to today

This program explores the birth of American folk music from the rural roots, to protest songs to urban folk. It chronicles the political and homespun simplicities of some truly interesting and eye-opening themes.

Fifty Years of Grammy Winning Songs of the Year from 1959 thru 2009.

Stand-alone single-hour programs include:

Each program is carefully researched. For example, with the Broadway shows we go into how each show was mounted, it’s run, and the people responsible for the productions.

With ALL the programs there is great music and I provide lyrics. I encourage conversation, singing along and some folks even dance. These are very interactive, informative and above all, FUN!
